Taylor S. Rahn and Luis Robles have been invited to speak and teach at upcoming 2023 national law enforcement conferences

Taylor S. Rahn and Luis Robles have been invited to speak and teach at upcoming 2023 national law enforcement conferences. Rahn has been invited to speak at the upcoming 2023 National Police Canine Association (NPCA) Conference in San Antonio, Texas, and Robles will teach at the national and mid-year National Tactical Officers Association conferences in 2023.

Robles brings his expertise in body cameras and law enforcement to the National Tactical Officers Association, where he has been a teacher at national and mid-year conferences since 2020. He has taught classes on the persuasive articulation of deadly force and body-worn cameras. To date, Mr. Robles has published two articles in the NTOA’s monthly publication, the Tactical Edge. Recently, Mr. Robles’ work with the NTOA has led to an invitation to teach the Toronto (CA) Emergency Task Force. In 2022, the International Association of Chiefs of Police—the world’s largest and most influential professional association for police leaders—invited Mr. Robles to speak at its annual conference.

A New Mexico Department of Public Safety certified “Professional Lecturer” and a teacher for the NPCA Conference since 2018, Rahn brings a wealth of educational experience to the upcoming conference. In 2018, 2019, and 2021 Ms. Rahn taught several sections of Civil Liability for Police Canines at the NPCA annual conference. In 2020, due to the pandemic, Ms. Rahn and Mr. Robles teamed up to provide regional training virtually and in-person for members from ALECA (Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Association) and the Connecticut Police Work Dog Association.

In 2022, Ms. Rahn taught two different classes at the NPCA annual conference, civil liability and body cameras. In addition to teaching these courses, Ms. Rahn also participated in a mock trial which simulated questioning in both criminal and civil cases involving police canines and has been featured on the HITS podcast discussing legal issues involving police canines.

“We congratulate Taylor and Luis on their dedication to furthering education for law enforcement and legal entities,” said Marcus Rael, Robles, Rael & Anaya Managing Partner. “Both are leading experts, and we’re honored to have them on our team, as well as providing these vital educational services across the nation.”
