Melba Aguilar joins the firm with a diverse background in child welfare, public service, education, and scientific research. Prior to joining Robles, Rael & Anaya, she represented the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department in child abuse and neglect proceedings, including matters involving the Indian Child Welfare Act, where she managed a significant caseload and developed training programs to support legal compliance and courtroom advocacy.
Before practicing law, Ms. Aguilar built a unique career spanning scientific research, engineering education, and community leadership. Her varied professional experience, combined with her resilience and analytical approach to problem-solving, brings valuable perspective to the firm's clients and litigation practice.
