Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather necessary information
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Prepare and manage case calendars and deadlines
- Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Assist with document review and analysis
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and consistency
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Excellent attention to detail for proofreading legal documents
- Proficient in legal administrative tasks and procedures
- Familiarity with legal research methods and resources
- Ability to conduct interviews to gather relevant information
- Strong written communication skills to draft legal documents and correspondence
- Experience with document management
- Knowledge of law terminology, procedures, and regulations
