Theresa Baca Sandoval has practiced government law for approximately 31 years in New Mexico. Ms. Baca Sandoval’s most recent governmental experience comes from her work at the Bernalillo County as a Deputy County Attorney and Assistant County Attorney Senior. As the Deputy County Attorney, Ms. Baca Sandoval managed a public law firm of attorneys and support staff. Her experience includes providing legal services representing Bernalillo County in federal bankruptcy court, district court, metropolitan court, and administrative bodies related to collective bargaining, contracts, employment, housing, and bankruptcy. She also served as adviser and lead attorney for all County personnel and employment issues. Her experience also includes reviewing and drafting contracts, deeds, and other legal documents; serving as a hearing officer in employment predetermination hearings and housing hearings, interpreting federal and state laws, regulations, ordinances, policies, and procedures; preparing legal opinions regarding the status of statutory law, common law, and administrative practices. Prior to her employment with Bernalillo County, she practiced at the State of New Mexico Human Services Department; State of New Mexico Public Defender Department; and State of New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department. Ms. Baca Sandoval joined Robles, Rael & Anaya in June 2026.
