Our Attorneys

Heath Skroch joined the firm in 2021 while still performing his undergraduate studies. Heath began as a legal assistant before becoming a law clerk and ultimately an associate attorney. Despite working through law school, Heath earned his Natural Resources and Environmental Law Certificate as well as the Outstanding Clinic Team Award for his representation of a community land grant in Taos, New Mexico. Additionally, Heath served as the Submissions Editor for the Natural Resources Journal. In this position, Heath reviewed hundreds of articles and determined which would be published. Heath also served as the Graduate and Professional Student Association’s Political Director, successfully lobbying the state legislature for an amendment to the Graduate Scholarship Act.

Heath graduated from cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of law in May 2025. Heath subsequently passed the bar exam and was admitted to the state Bar of New Mexico in September 2025. While representing government clients, Heath gained valuable expertise in Section 1983, New Mexico Tort Claims Act, and New Mexico Civil Rights Act. Heath has won many cases in both state and federal court. Heath’s experience extends beyond the district court level to the appellate level. He has drafted several briefs filed in the United States Supreme Court.
